Heavy Equipment Mechanic

The Heavy Duty Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing Mac Agg’s fleet of heavy construction equipment and support vehicles.

Requirements

• Must have experience and knowledge of CATERPILLER engines and Equipment.
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel systems.
• Inspect equipment to identify faults, malfunctions, and worn components.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications.
• Communicate major or unexpected repairs with the Supervisor or Fleet Manager.
• Ensure shop cleanliness, organization, and proper tool/equipment maintenance.
• Support other mechanics and collaborate with operators and supervisors.
