Job Description
Become part of NACG as a Heavy Duty Mechanic at a remote mining site near Fort McMurray. This role features a unique 14-day-on and 14-day-off schedule with competitive pay and various benefits.
We are searching for a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic with expertise in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment like dozers and haul trucks. You will work closely with peers to ensure that all machinery operates optimally while also training apprentices. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership and diagnostics while adhering to safety standards on site.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct repairs on large machinery including CAT and Komatsu
• Perform regular maintenance and preventative servicing
• Mobilize equipment and develop repair schedules
• Teach and mentor new mechanics and apprentices
• Inspect equipment performance for faults
