Be essential to highway safety as a Heavy Duty Mechanic at Mainroad Alberta Contracting LP in Ponoka. Your role will focus on maintaining our fleet, crucial for efficient highway operations across the region.
In this position, you will use your expertise to ensure our equipment operates safely and efficiently. You will have the opportunity to lead apprentices while working in a collaborative team that values growth and development. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
• Provide mentorship to apprentices and junior staff
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
• Complete timely and accurate reporting as needed
• Maintain accountability for tools and equipment
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent necessary
• Alberta Certificate of Qualification or Interprovincial Ticket preferred
