Full Time Grounds Maintenance Workers

School District No. 73 (Kamloops-Thompson) is currently accepting applications for the position of Groundsperson. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 8 months per year (Layoff period: November - March). Following successful completion of the probationary period, the incumbent will be eligible for Extended Health and Dental Benefits, as well as Group Life Insurance. School District No. 73 belongs to the Municipal Pension Plan. Under the limited supervision of the Manager of Grounds, the incumbent carries out a variety of normal maintenance tasks related to maintaining school playgrounds and playing fields, involving grass cutting and/or the operation of power driven equipment while providing advice, direction and guidance to Labourers. Work is varied and requires independent judgement and initiative.
