Job Description
Summary
Under supervision, our golf course labourer performs a variety of recurring light and heavy manual work in connection with the maintenance, mowing fairways and greens, hole changes, upkeep and repair of the golf course, and other general duties. Workers perform many assignments with independence, exhibiting some initiative and judgment in typical work situations. Work frequently involves the operation of motorized vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- General course upkeep: mowing fairways, greens, pruning trees.
- Other grounds maintenance work such as repairing turf using sod patches, reseeding and setting up protective barriers, planting and pruning trees and shrubs, removing debris, mulching, weeding, cutting up downed trees, etc., using hand and power tools and equipment such as chainsaws, industrial mowers, and tractors with moving attachments.
