Explore the world of geospatial data with Aecon as a GIS Co-op. This 8-month role provides practical experience in supporting design, construction, and GIS project delivery.
Aecon seeks a motivated student pursuing a GIS, Geomatics, Engineering, or related degree. You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise GIS, CAD/BIM integration, and real-world construction workflows. Collaborate with a skilled GIS team to maintain datasets, create dashboards, and assist with mobile GIS tools to enhance project effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update geospatial datasets across projects
• Assist in building FME workspaces for ETL tasks
• Integrate CAD/BIM files into GIS datasets
• Create web maps and dashboards using ArcGIS Online
• Support mobile GIS tools like Field Maps and Survey123
Requirements:
• Enrollment in a related degree program
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro and geospatial concepts
