Job Description
Geotechnical Engineer
Outside IR35
3 Month contract
Duties
Liaison with the Contractor, Project Manager and Employer's Representative.
Reviewing of testing activities against the requirements of the Specification and Contractor's Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
Observing and commenting on the quality of the earthworks' activities and compliance with the Specification and Contractor's Method Statements.
Reviewing the adequacy of soil/fill sampling as required under the Specification and ITP and advising the Contractor of the results in order to allow the satisfactory progress of the works.
Auditing the Contractor's records against the requirements of the Specification and the Contractor's Quality Control Plan.
Maintaining daily records of activities and a photographic log
