Position Overview
AHS is seeking a skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. You will work to full scope of practice and support safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care in all areas of medication distribution.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and perform sterile and non‑sterile compounding, final checks of medications, inventory, and procurement activities. Check and dispense patient‑specific medication orders prepared by Pharmacy Assistants and other Technicians, prepare and check repackaged medications, and complete Patient BPMHs in a clinical setting. Mentor Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians, train new staff, and precept students while collaborating closely with pharmacists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
