Job Description

The University of Alberta invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Women’s and Gender Studies at North Campus, Edmonton. This role involves engaging with students in a rich academic environment for Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
As part of the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies, the successful candidate will teach six courses, including WGS 220, 230, and 301. WGS 101 will be delivered online, while remaining courses will be taught in-person. Applicants should have a Ph.D. nearing completion and experience in higher education, especially in Women’s and Gender Studies, is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality instruction in Women’s and Gender Studies
• Conduct six courses across two academic terms
• Facilitate online learning via Canvas LMS
• Design course content in collaboration with department leaders
