Job Description
Become a Trauma Therapist at Lil’wat Health & Healing, delivering culturally responsive counseling services. This full-time role focuses on supporting community healing through various therapeutic modalities, enriching lives and fostering resilience.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Trauma Therapist will work with individuals, couples, and groups, providing trauma-informed therapeutic support. This role requires a strong understanding of Indigenous perspectives and the ability to navigate complex trauma scenarios with respect and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver tailored counseling services to Lil’wat community members
• Communicate therapeutic boundaries clearly to clients
• Co-facilitate trauma recovery and grief support groups
• Participate in wellness initiatives and community events
• Assess client safety and manage crisis situations
