Job Description
Overview
One-month engagement picking up an existing demo project ahead of a trade show. The freelancer will get up to speed via a handover from Billy and Jack, who remain the main points of contact throughout. The work centers on the front-end/UI for a demo unit running on dedicated hardware with a touchscreen, communicating with the backend via REST APIs.
What They Will Do Get up to speed via handover from Billy and Jack Build/refine the touchscreen UI for the demo unit (runs on the hardware itself, not a web or mobile app) Integrate the front end with the backend over REST APIs Work within the existing hardware setup, troubleshooting where UI meets hardware Begin backend-adjacent work early using the physical unit's existing data logs, ahead of full handover if needed What We're Looking For Practical, hands-on UI development skills Comfort with rapid prototyping and iteration, rather than deep embedded C++ development Micro-electronics or fixed-hardware experience preferred...
