Responsibilities
- Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
- Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Measure, cut, and secure underlayment and padding materials.
- Develop flooring layouts and prepare installation schedules.
- Measure, cut, and install carpet on various floor areas.
- Prepare tenders, estimates, and quotations for projects.
- Install hardwood flooring and related components.
- Assess and repair damaged floor coverings as needed.
- Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other site tests before installation.
- Prepare subfloors and surfaces for new flooring.
- Remove old flooring materials and contaminants.
- Install carpet on walls or specialized surfaces.
- Perform direct glue-down carpet installations.
