Department Summary

First-Year Advisors are school/college-based advising positions housed within the College of Arts & Sciences, the Lundquist College of Business, and the School of Journalism and Communication. Together, these multiple positions support first-year student success in collaboration with Undergraduate Education and Student Success (UESS).

The College of Arts & Sciences serves students across the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences, including students exploring a wide range of academic pathways. The Lundquist College of Business supports students pursuing business education connected to leadership, innovation, sustainability, and career readiness. The School of Journalism and Communication prepares students for academic and professional pathways in journalism, media, communication, advertising, public relations, and related fields.
