Join the KTC WUI Team as a dedicated Wildland Firefighter. Engage in vital wildfire mitigation and community safety through hands-on operational duties.
We are looking for individuals eager to protect communities and the environment from wildfires. In this role, stationed at the Loon River office, you will participate in firefighting and essential training focused on wildfire education. Your efforts will play a crucial role in community preparedness and response strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to wildfire incidents as part of a WUI crew
• Conduct ignition-prevention and structure protection measures
• Maintain and operate firefighting equipment and systems
• Deliver critical training programs for the public
• Participate in ongoing training and physical conditioning
Requirements:
• Complete Alberta Wildfire Level 1 fitness test
• Ability to handle extended deployments away from home
