Job Description
Position Summary
To oversee and maintain the operation of the fire protection training centre including overall planning, servicing, repairing, purchasing and designing for the Pre-Service Firefighter Program training and laboratories. To provide technical assistance to students, faculty and the Academic Manager in all matters concerning the Fire Protection Training Centre and equipment associated with the Pre-Service Firefighter Program. Ensure that all equipment, facilities, training and operations meet Health and Safety guidelines set out by the Federal and Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts with strict adherence to the Ontario Health and Safety Act Section 21 guidelines governing fire related activities in the Province of Ontario.
