Position Overview
The Field Survey Technologist works primarily in the field under the direction of a Project Manager and/or Land Surveyor, supporting a wide range of survey projects from land development and strata/air space work, topographic and rights‑of‑way surveys, surveys for infrastructure and capital works projects, construction and monitoring surveys, surveys on First Nation lands and many other diverse types of surveys. This role leads day‑to‑day survey activities at project sites, supervises Field Survey Assistants, and ensures work is completed safely and accurately in accordance with established standards. As a COR‑certified organization, Aplin Martin places a strong emphasis on health and safety, supported by clear procedures, training, and a proactive safety culture. The Field Survey Technologist collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams while utilizing modern survey technologies such as UAVs, GNSS, and laser scanning.
