Job Description
Engineer - FATP Process Roles and Responsibilities - FATP Process Develop and establish FATP (Final Assembly, Test & Pack) processes for automotive products Define SOPs, control plans, and work instructions as per automotive standards Support NPI and ensure smooth product launch with PPAP requirements Ensure full traceability (serial number, batch, date code) across assembly and testing Implement and control end-of-line (EOL) testing and validation processes Analyze test failures and perform root cause analysis using 8D/5 Why Improve FPY, reduce defects, and ensure zero-defect mindset (Poka-Yoke) Ensure compliance with automotive standards like IATF 16949 and customer requirements Validate test equipment, fixtures, and poka-yoke systems for reliability Coordinate with quality, design, and customer teams for issue resolution Ensure proper handling of MSL, ESD, and critical components during assembly Maintain detailed documentation (PFMEA, control plan, traceability records, reports)
