Overview
Position: Family Practice – Inpatient Care and Emergency Medicine Physician
Location: Sechelt Hospital, Sechelt, BC
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Position Details
- Permanent full-time Family Practice and Emergency physician
- Combination of Inpatient Care Coverage and ER shift coverage at Sechelt Hospital
- On-call rotation approximately 1:3 from 5 pm to 10 pm
- 5-7 day work weeks
- Remuneration through the Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP) payment model for inpatient care activities
- Average >30 hours per week; role intended to shift between inpatient care and ER based on needs
Responsibilities
- Admit new, unassigned, and unattached patients through the Emergency Department
- Perform comprehensive patient rounding and stabilization
- Respond to urgent, non-code calls for patients admitted to the site
