Summary This facility services assistant position is located in the Office of the Chief of Engineering Service at the VA Boston Healthcare System - West Roxbury campus. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week. Responsibilities ***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Duties include, but may not be limited to: Monitors completion of preventive maintenance work orders. Monitors work progress of jobs assigned to trades shops and ensure that work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines meet the instructions of the supervisor. Provides system control, oversight, data entry, repair history, analysis and documentation of the ongoing maintenance control program for the facility, resource management equipment and miscellaneous tools and equipment, i.e., electrical and mechanical operating equipment, machinery, vehicles, engineering and construction equipment, mobile equipment, small tools. ...
