Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
Education Department at Driftpile Cree Nation is currently seeking to fill a job position of a full-time Facilities Attendant. The Facilities Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment within the school greenhouse and Learning Services office. This position performs routine cleaning, maintenance, organization, and facility support duties to ensure spaces are well-maintained, welcoming, and conducive to learning and staff productivity.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Greenhouse Maintenance
- Prepare growing media, plant bulbs, seeds and cuttings, graft and bud plants, set transplants out onto the rooting media, and transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings
- Operate greenhouse water irrigation systems
- Dig, harvest, transplant and prepare plants for harvesting
- Provide information and advice to students and school staff on gardening and the care of plants
