Position: Fabricator – Plate Roller/Brake/Shear Operator (Union Position)

 Location: Deer Park, NY

 Company/Industry:  Precision metal fabrication company

 Schedule: Mon-Fri, 645am-315pm

 Salary:  $26-32/hr depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate

 Type: Direct Hire with comprehensive benefits package

 

 Key Responsibilities

• Roll metal shells and cylinders ranging from 14?gauge to 5/8 in carbon steel and stainless steel
• Operate plate rolls with precision and consistency
• Set up and operate a press brake for bending and forming operations
• Use a shear to cut materials to size
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
• Read and interpret shop drawings, measurements, and fabrication instructions
• Maintain equipment and follow all shop safety procedures
• Collaborate with shop supervisors and other fabricators to complete custom jobs
