Job Description
Valard Construction seeks an experienced Powerline Technician for our Edmonton or Northern Alberta team. This role focuses on the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of power distribution systems.
Reporting to the Operations Lead, your main responsibilities will include working with overhead and underground power lines. You should excel at handling various tools and equipment for effective system repairs and be knowledgeable about electrical construction practices. Your ability to respond to outages will also be crucial in maintaining service reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Splice, terminate, and repair power cables and related equipment
• Troubleshoot faults on distribution systems
• Maintain and operate specialized electrical tools
• Conduct switching of high-voltage equipment safely
• Collaborate with engineers on project execution
