Job Description
Orla Mining is seeking an Experienced Payroll Specialist in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements in this critical role.
As part of the payroll team, you will report directly to the Payroll Supervisor and be responsible for the entire payroll cycle. Your expertise with ADP and SAP will be essential in processing payrolls on time and resolving discrepancies. Collaborating with various teams, you will maintain payroll records and assist with tax reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process payrolls and verify data for accuracy
• Generate journal entries and reconcile GL accounts
• Prepare Record of Employment and tax forms
• Troubleshoot payroll issues and respond promptly
• Maintain audit documentation for compliance
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• At least 2 years of payroll experience
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is an asset
