Overview
Executive Dean (Fixed-Term) – Academic Partners seeks an exceptional leader to serve as Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, reporting to the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Teaching and Learning. This role offers the opportunity to strategically transform a multi-campus faculty into a cohesive centre of academic excellence, research impact and innovation, positioned to advance societal and industry imperatives within a unitary institutional framework.
Responsibilities Strategy Development: Develop faculty strategy aligned to the institution's multi-campus nature and national imperatives; co-determine and implement institutional Teaching and Learning and Research and Innovation Strategies; translate strategic priorities into measurable annual performance plans with clear indicators; drive strategic differentiation through identified niche areas and growth opportunities; integrate transformation and Employment Equity targets into planning.
