Job Description
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- Valid Excavator Operator Certificate from an accredited training provider.
- Valid Driver's Licence (advantageous).
- Medical certificate declaring fitness to work in a mining environment.
- Competent A or B (where required by legislation or company policy).
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience operating excavators in an open-pit or underground mining environment.
- Experience loading articulated dump trucks or rigid dump trucks.
- Experience working in production mining.
- Experience operating large hydraulic excavators (preferred).
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hydraulic excavators of various sizes safely and efficiently.
- Excavate, load, and move ore, waste, and overburden according to the mine plan.
- Load haul trucks accurately to maximize productivity and minimize spillage.
