Job Description
Perform work involving the operation of specialized equipment used in construction and repair, ditching and maintenance. Drive and operate heavy equipment such as excavators, boring machine, wheel type ditching machines, graders, front end loaders and backhoes. Experience with burying drops. May operate smaller and less complex equipment as necessary. Clear and dig drainage ditches, dig and backfill trenches. Some knowledge of operation characteristics and maintenance of machines and equipment operated and the methods, techniques and procedures of construction and repair work involving heavy equipment. Must be able to perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time; work in extreme weather conditions; withstand constant vibration from equipment; climb in and out of trenches; lift 50 lbs; understand oral & written instructions.
