Summary This position is part of the Environmental Management Services Division at the Western New York VAMC in Buffalo. The role includes performing both janitorial and custodial services, such as distributing and inventorying textiles, sanitizing and disinfecting areas, removing waste, cleaning blinds, replacing curtains, washing windows and walls, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, cleaning discharges, sweeping, scrubbing, extracting, and polishing floors, and applying floor finishes. Responsibilities Major Duties assigned: Perform a full range of housekeeping activities in patient and non-patient care areas. Clean and maintain assigned areas throughout the medical facility. Sweep, dust mop, damp and wet mop, scrub, strip, refinish, buff, vacuum, and extract carpets and runners. Spot clean areas and perform high and low dusting.
