Job Description
The scope of services of an Environmental Checker shall generally consist of but not limited to :
a) Support the SO as an environmental advisory role b) Conduct environmental site inspections c) Conduct environmental performance audits d) Review environmental monitoring and management regime e) Review implementation of environmental protection measures f) Advise remediation actions for contingency scenarios.
The Environmental Checker is expected to audit the environmental performance in an independent, objective and professional manner in every aspect during construction.
The Environmental Checker shall propose the scope, methodology and frequency of the environmental performance audit (minimum of 1 scheduled and 1 unscheduled per year or any frequency as instructed by SO) that is appropriate to the project and to international practices or recognized standards.
