Job Summary:
The English Language Development Teacher provides English language instruction to multilingual learners. The ELD teacher also shares the responsibility with the mainstream general education teachers to ensure the students they serve receive content instruction while learning English. The ELD supports classroom instruction through collaboration with the general education teachers. The English Language Development Teacher works closely with students, their families, and other education professionals to develop and implement language-rich interventions that address students language learning needs and improve their English proficiency.
