Summary About the Position: This is a temporary promotion position located at Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM) Customer Programs, Quality and Logistics Directorate, Watervliet Arsenal, Watervliet NY. Responsibilities Originates and maintains CMM programs using PC-DMIS software Ver. 4.2 or above to create CMM programs, offline or online, on complex machined parts from various materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, alloy steels, rubber, plastic etc. Performs mathematical calculations by various means of applying trigonometry, geometry and algebra to determine angles, coordinates of critical dimensions, curves clearances, dimensional fits, etc. Uses knowledge of Geometric Dementioning and Tolerance (GD and T) to interpret blueprints, CAD wireframe, and solid models to review configuration management of component drawings to validate inspection ability, create setups, and fixture design.
