Overview

Canonical is hiring an Engineer Director, Devices Software Engineering to drive the strategy and implementation of our next-generation Ubuntu hardware enablement quality. This role leads teams responsible for quality coordination, testing, and continuous improvement of hardware certification and energy measurement, with a focus on Linux and open source.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for devices software quality initiatives.
• Lead and develop teams focused on quality coordination, testing, hardware certification, and energy measurement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, kernel, and release teams to ensure robust hardware enablement.

Qualifications

• Outstanding Linux-based software engineering experience.
• Leadership and team development skills.
• Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu).
