Job Description – Engineer, Open Pit Production (MEA02032) Responsibilities
Report to the Supervisor, Open Pit Engineering and act as liaison between Engineering, Geology, and Mine Operations regarding all short‑range production activities.
Produce, communicate and steward weekly Open Pit mine plans.
Develop new strategies and ideas to optimise mine production.
Engage stakeholders to manage changes of new initiatives or mine plan objectives.
Report daily advance (Drill, Blast, Load, Haul) at the morning production meeting.
Provide the mill with daily and weekly ore blends.
Conduct haul road inspections and submit reports to Engineering and Operations leadership.
Track compliance of waste dump development compared to plan and design.
Conduct a daily mine tour with Mine Operations General Supervisor.
Create and maintain the aggregate production schedule.
