Job Description
Job Description – Engineer, Open Pit Drill and Blast (MEA02035) Agnico Eagle values trust, respect, equity, family, responsibility, safety, environmental protection and community contributions.
Reporting to the Coordinator, Open Pit Engineering, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
Responsibilities
Develop, support, and communicate all required reporting and analysis related to Open Pit drilling and blasting, including Monthly Drill and Blast reports, Blast Optimization initiatives, and all relevant KPIs (powder factor, drilling factor, fragmentation, vibration, etc.)
Lead all open pit drill and blast optimization initiatives and projects
Responsible for the annual explosives order and the dispatching of explosives to the various site magazines
