Job Description
Engineer, Electrical (MEL01613)
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Electrical General Supervisor and part of the Energy and Infrastructure Department.
- Ensure power availability on site (UG and Surface) with low and medium voltage equipment.
- Track energy consumption and load list ownership of site electrical distribution.
- Electrical & instrumentation engineering and technical project management.
- Establish, design and update distribution plans, construction plans and standards.
- Support coordinators, supervisors, operation and Energy & Infrastructure staff.
- Involve in electrical reliability, maintenance program development and advanced troubleshooting.
- Assist on site specialists when needed.
- Ensure compliance to Canadian Electrical Code, Workplace Electrical Safety and Use of Electricity in Mines.
