Job Description
Position Summary
Responsible for disassembling returned customer engines and performing detailed failure analysis to determine root causes of issues. Duties include documenting component wear, identifying defects or damage, preparing detailed reports, and working closely with engineering and quality teams to support continuous improvement. Requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and familiarity with internal combustion engines.
Responsibilities
- Install and instrument engines, transmissions, and other powertrains on test cells.
- Operate advanced dynamometer test equipment for functional, durability, and development testing, including building automated test schedules with safety and operating alarms.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to adjust and resolve powertrain parameters according to engineering specifications.
