Job Description
Responsibilities
- You will serve as an Electronics Technician (AWS BASELINE 9 COMPUTERS) in the Engineering Department.
- You will perform material conditions reviews, installation functional checkouts, and post-repair acceptance validation.
- You will serve as an advisory role to the Chief Engineer in matters requiring technical authority.
- You will exercise sound judgment in analyzing and developing approaches to meet objectives and effect change solutions as necessary and keep the supervisor informed of progress and potentially controversial problems.
- You will independently plan and carry out assignments and resolve conflicts.
- You will coordinate work with ship forces and superiors to resolve scheduling issues in order to meet fleet mission requirements.
- You will provide technical support and oversight of test programs, modernizations, and repairs.
