Job Description
The Industrial Controls Lab provides a variety of performance testing and certification of Industrial Controls products such as PLCs, motor drives, contactors, elevator interlocks and emergency stops devices.
Industrial Controls tests performed include:
+ Electrical
+ Heating and Temperature
+ Overload and endurance
+ Short circuit
+ Ground Bond
+ Abnormal Operation
+ Component Fault Testing
+ Mechanical
+ Examine test samples and read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, measuring instruments, and operational instructions to setup and perform a variety of electrical testing.
+ Analyze test performance and review test data with supervisor.
+ Build test setups and make adjustments to test equipment to perform a variety of testing.
+ Uses knowledge of resistive and inductive circuits to achieve the correct voltage, amperage, and power factor requirements.
