Education
Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
Work Setting
Rural area. Relocation costs not covered by employer.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
- Replace or repair electrical components.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
Certifications, Licences, Memberships & Courses
Industrial Electrician Red Seal Certificate.
Security and Safety
- Criminal record check.
- Drug test.
