Job Description
Take charge as the Chief Returning Officer for the Students' Council, overseeing vital electoral logistics and ensuring fair elections. This role requires effective communication and electoral management skills.
Serving from May 1 to April 30, the Chief Returning Officer is appointed by the Students' Council. This leadership position involves managing the entire balloting process, conducting elections, and advertising related events. You'll be responsible for important tasks like determining nomination deadlines and supporting plebiscites and referenda.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire balloting process and election conduct
• Manage advertisement campaigns for elections occurring
• Submit results reports to the Speaker promptly
• Determine nomination package allocations and statistics
• Facilitate forums during the campaign for engagement
Requirements:
• Experience in election processes is essential
• Must not hold any concurrent council roles
