Job Summary:
Prepares patient and performs electrocardiogram procedure following established policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Upholds Kaiser Permanentes Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws. Prepares patient for and performs diagnostic EKG procedures as prescribed, explains and answers questions regarding equipment function and procedures. Scans electrocardiograph tracings for variance from established norms, determines representative portions before releasing patient, cuts and mounts representative portions and forwards to physician for interpretation. Responds to acute emergency situation as established in policies and procedures. May perform other diagnostic testing such as treadmill, Holter or Vectro Cardiogram. Establishes and maintains courteous cooperative relations with the public, patients and other personnel. Performs other duties as required, such as ans...
