About BSC
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC‑CNS) is a leading supercomputing centre in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and plays a pivotal role within the European HPC ecosystem. BSC combines HPC service provision and research in life, earth and engineering sciences, employing more than 1,000 staff from 60 countries.
Context and Mission
The Education and Training Team, within the Director’s Department, coordinates training and education activities, conducts educational research, and develops collaborations with other leading HPC and supercomputing centres and universities. It contributes to national and European projects such as Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence, EUMaster4HPC, EuroCC2, CASTIEL2 and EVITA.
