Social media is a key area of focus in the effort to interrupt violence as online platforms are increasingly becoming spaces where youth can both cause and experience harm. Peer pressure, bullying and threats are exchanged via social media and can lead to real life violent behavior. TO Wards Peace will leverage social media through the E-VIBE program. It will be used to identify emerging trends, to disseminate targeted violence prevention content and where appropriate, monitor and interrupt potential incidents of violence.
