Job Description

Tomlinson Environmental Services is looking at hiring a Front End Commercial Driver. The operator is responsible for the safe and efficient collection of waste and recycling.

Location: 650 Fortune Crescent


Vacancy Type: Replacement

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and drive a DZ truck to transport waste and recycling materials throughout the City of Ottawa and surrounding areas

  • Responsible for the collection of waste/recycling containers on assigned route

  • Transport waste and recycling material to disposal, transfer or recycling facility

  • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turn signals, and brakes

  • Ensure safety requirements are followed in accordance with company policy

  • Provide excellent customer service, leaving customer’s location clean and free of debris
