Job Description
- Fabricate HVAC ductwork fittings and accessories as per approved shop drawings and fabrication details.
- Read and interpret HVAC fabrication drawings duct layouts and cutting schedules.
- Measure mark cut bend fold notch and assemble GI stainless steel and aluminum duct sheets using appropriate fabrication tools and machinery.
- Install duct stiffeners flanges cleats corners and reinforcement as specified in fabrication drawings.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as guillotine shears press brakes Pittsburgh lock machines lock formers notchers rollers grooving machines and spot welding machines safely and efficiently.
- Ensure fabricated duct sections comply with approved dimensions tolerances and quality requirements.
- Inspect fabricated components for defects before dispatch to the installation team.
- Minimize material wastage by following approved cutting plans and fabrication procedures.
