Job Description
College Graduate of BS Nursing or Med Allied Course
Active CIC, CCS, CPC required
At least 1 year, 6 months of experience in DRGV/ IP Auditor or 3-5 years IP coding experience
• Review inpatient medical records for validation of DRG (Diagnostic-related Groups) assignment.
• Provide detailed rationale and supporting evidence for recommendations and findings.
• Utilize industry-recognized references to support their review findings, such as the ICD-10 Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding, AHIMA Practice Briefs related to compliant querying, and AHA Coding Clinics.
• Knowledge of 3M coding, Optum, computer assisted coding (CAC), abstracting software, Meditech etc. will be added advantage.
