Job Description
Doctoral Researcher in Transport Studies
The position is embedded in the Spatial Planning and Transportation (SPT) research group and focuses on the CO‑SPACES research project funded by the Research Council of Finland. The doctoral project will examine governance aspects of urban street space distribution, aiming to understand diverse actors’ views and to re‑imagine governance processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mixed‑method and applied research on transport governance.
- Present research at high‑level scientific conferences.
- Publish work in leading academic journals.
- Participate actively in SPT research group activities.
- Assist in preparing new research proposals.
- Advise Master’s students on their thesis development.
- Complete a set of advanced taught courses (30 ECTS) and defend a doctoral thesis.
