The Dispatcher is essential to First Student’s operations, responsible for overseeing bus routes and ensuring performance standards are met. You will coach drivers, process complaints, and handle radio traffic while assisting with additional clerical tasks. Candidates with terminal operations or dispatch experience will thrive in this collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise scheduling and routing of all buses
• Provide counseling to drivers and monitors
• Manage extensive phone and radio communications
• Take and report on scheduling complaints
• Coordinate communication with major customers
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of relevant dispatch experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Familiarity with radio dispatch systems
