The Design Engineer – Power Electronics is accountable for the electrical design and development of power electronics valves within reactive power compensation systems, including STATCOM and SVC solutions. The KPIs linked with the role are design quality, on-time delivery of engineering outputs, and technical accuracy against project specifications. The Design Engineer contributes to the execution of assigned delivery projects by working closely with lead engineers, sourcing teams, procurement teams, and quality teams to bring technically sound and commercially viable solutions to GE Vernova's global customers. A power electronics valve in this context is a baselined hardware assembly based on thyristor and IGBT technologies, designed in accordance with best engineering practices from previous projects.
