Job Description
Become a Climbing Arborist at Davey Tree Expert Co. in Port Robinson, Ontario, and enjoy a hands-on role in tree management and public engagement. Your climbing skills will be essential in providing top-notch vegetation care.
You will work on-site, focusing on safe tree access while pruning, thinning, and maintaining tree canopies. The position demands at least one year of climbing experience and includes operating chainsaws and aerial lifts. You will also assist in creating safe work environments and removing debris effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prune and manage tree health in the canopy
• Install support cables and safety systems
• Operate and maintain climbing gear and tools
• Assist with job site setup and cleanup efforts
• Follow Davey Tree's safety protocols
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of climbing experience
• Certified Arborist or intent to become one
• Strong skills in tree and knot identification
• Able to lift 50 lbs as required
