Job Summary
The Data Center Technician I supports the physical buildout of data center infrastructure in new construction environments. This entry-level, contract-to-hire role provides hands-on training and mentorship while assisting with the installation, routing, and termination of fiber and copper cabling. The technician helps assemble racks, cable pathways, and related hardware while following technical drawings, installation standards, and safety protocols. This role is open to candidates from a wide range of skilled trades and hands-on backgrounds, including construction, electrical, mechanical, telecommunications, low voltage, and similar installation-focused fields. The position plays an important role in maintaining organized infrastructure, supporting equipment installations, and ensuring that construction and deployment activities progress efficiently within large-scale data center environments.
